The Econatur-Health Chair of the University of Cordoba has awarded Flamingo Biolab for its contribution to the biotechnology sector applied to healthcare. This award highlights the impact of our work in integrating digital tools into the hospital environment.

Our technical proposal and the focus of this recognition is the creation of soft tissue digital twins. At Flamingo Biolab, our activity specializes in surgical planning through these 3D models. This process allows for:

• Reducing intervention times: Prior simulation on anatomical twins optimizes operating room procedures.

• Improving safety: The ability to work on exact replicas of soft tissues minimizes uncertainty before surgery.

• Advancing diagnostics: The application of advanced AI algorithms allows for a deeper reading of the patient’s anatomy.

This award granted by the UCO strengthens the connection between the research field and tech companies. For Flamingo Biolab, collaborating with academic institutions is a necessary step to validate our developments and ensure that the technology reaching hospitals responds to real needs.
